About the Arkham Society
The Arkham Society was launched on August 28th, 1997 as a center for fans of Batman villains on the web. Rather than just provide information about Batman's Rogue's Gallery, the Society also provided a unique opportunity for fans to meet with, converse, and role play with other fans. It also provided a place for other site operators to promote websites devoted to specific Batman villains. Not long after it opened, the Society became a hub of related sites.The Society was closed in 2001 for reorganization and a facelift, and now has reopened, hoping to provide the same services to Batman fans on the web. The site is maintained by the original founder, the Joker, and has retained one of its charter members, Query, as well as original member Pagliacci.
